Abacus at The Scholar is Now Open
We’re delighted to share that Abacus, our brand-new restaurant at The Scholar, has officially opened its doors.
Abacus brings together the best of Scottish produce with a light Mediterranean touch, creating dishes that feel fresh, balanced and crafted with care.
It’s a place designed for easy lunches, slow, sociable dinners and late-evening cocktails, somewhere to settle in,
share conversation and enjoy good food from the first coffee of the day to the final nightcap.
Inspired by one of the earliest tools for learning and understanding, Abacus takes its name from the idea of balance and thoughtful simplicity.
You’ll find these principles woven through everything we do: in the way flavours are paired, how the space is designed,
and in the genuine warmth of the team who welcome you.
Perfectly complementing The Scholar’s spirit of curiosity and connection, Abacus is a gathering place where ideas, and people, come together.
Abacus is open seven days a week, serving breakfast followed by an all-day menu from 12 noon until 9.30pm.
The bar is open until late, with a mix of relaxed booth seating and a beautiful shared dining table for groups and semi-private occasions.
