December at Abacus
Abacus is open seven days a week throughout December, serving breakfast every morning and an all-day menu from 12 noon to 9.30pm – including Christmas Day.
Whether you’re a guest of The Scholar or simply looking for a relaxed festive lunch or dinner in the Southside of Edinburgh, Abacus is the place to be. Our seasonal menu brings the best of Scottish produce together with a Mediterranean touch – expect festive specials alongside Abacus favourites, from sharing boards and warm bread to Scottish steaks, fresh fish and indulgent desserts.

Residents and non-residents welcome.
You don't need to be staying at The Scott Hotel to pull up a chair on Christmas Day.
Four courses, one sitting. Hay-smoked goose, game terrine, a chocolate cake that earns its place at the end. The kind of lunch that stretches into the afternoon.
Join us in the main dining room, or gather your group in The Library or The Velvet Lounge, both available for private dining for up to 12 or 14 guests.
